How is the exact age calculated?
Whole years first, then whole months, then the remaining days — the way ages are normally stated. Someone born on 31 January is one month older on the last day of February.
What about people born on 29 February?
In years without a 29 February, the birthday is counted on 28 February, which is how most official systems treat it. The countdown shows the date it uses.
Which Hijri calendar is used?
The Umm al-Qura calendar, as provided by your browser. Local moon sighting can move Islamic dates by a day, so treat it as a close guide.
