A pause, and a dua.

Dua Lock is a small Android app for the apps that take more of our time than we meant to give. You choose which ones ask. When you open one, Dua Lock steps in front of it: a short breath, counted three, two, one, and then an authentic dua — the Arabic, a reading of it in Latin letters, and its meaning. Read it, or say it aloud, and the app opens.

From the Sunnah

The supplications come from Hisn al-Muslim, each with its source. They are filed by occasion and searchable in the app, and the ones short enough to meet you at the door take turns there. Two tasbih come with it: a strand you turn with your thumb and a counter you tap.

The leaderboard

You appear on the leaderboard — duas read at the door and tasbih counted, updated live — unless you switch it off in the app. It shares only those two totals and the name you choose, or “Someone”. Switching it off hides you at once.

The Dua Wall

The Dua Wall is for duas — for the Ummah, for family and loved ones, for healing and ease, for guidance, and in gratitude. Anyone can share one, without an account, and anyone can answer with Ameen. Every dua is screened before it appears, and anyone can report one. The map shows where duas come from.

Honest numbers

Every count on this site is a count of real duas, real Ameens and real totals sent by the app. Nothing is invented to make the wall look busy.

Your key

There are no accounts. The device you share from keeps the key to your duas: on it you can take any of them down. The app keeps what you do on your phone; see the app's privacy policy.
