A guestbook for the whole internet.
The internet is enormous and mostly forgets. World Wall is a small, stubborn exception: one public wall where anyone can leave their mark and have it stay. Write your name and a few words, or sign it by hand. Your mark gets a number — the order it arrived in — and a permanent place on the wall.
So far 2,472 people from 106 countries have signed it.
How it works
- Leave your mark. No account, no email. A first name is enough; a city is optional.
- Get your number. Mark Nº 1 sits at the center of the wall. Every mark after it takes the next seat, spiralling outward like tree rings, so your number is also your address.
- Share it. Every mark has its own page that looks good when you send it to friends. When they sign, they land right next to you.
Why a wall?
People have always written “I was here” — on stones, in visitor books, on the backs of doors. It's a small way of saying you existed and passed through. A digital guestbook shouldn't be a form that disappears into a database; it should be a place you can walk around in, where you can find your own name among strangers from everywhere else.
The World
Every mark says where it came from — a country, and a city if you like. The world map lights up as marks arrive, and each country has a page of the people who signed from there. We never ask for or store your precise location.
Plaques
The internet has a long tradition of finite spaces that become valuable because there are only so many of them. The wall has one: exactly 100 plaques built into its geometry, which brands and makers can own. They sit in their own blocks and never cover anyone's mark. Read about plaques.
Keeping it kind
A wall anyone can write on needs a few rules. Links aren't allowed, hateful or sexual content is blocked, and anyone can report a mark. Read the wall rules and how we handle your data in the privacy notice.
