Wall guidelines

A place to pray for one another.

The Dua Wall is for duas — for the Ummah, for the people we love, for healing, guidance and gratitude. Each dua can be up to 280 characters, and anyone can read it. Write as you would want to find it, and as you would want others to read it about you.

Please

• Keep it to dua, hope and gratitude, in any language.
• Keep other people to a first name or a relation — “my mother”, “Yusuf” — and leave out illness details or anything private about someone else.
• Say Ameen to the duas of others; it is the only reply the wall has, and that is on purpose.

Not on the wall

• Hate, insults or mockery of anyone, of any faith or none; threats; anything sexual.
• Personal details: phone numbers, addresses, full names of private people.
• Links, advertising, fundraising or requests for money.
• Impersonating anyone, including scholars, organisations or the Dua Lock team.
• Religious rulings presented as authoritative. The wall is for duas, not fatwas.

How it is kept safe

• Every dua is screened automatically before it appears; some are held for a moderator to read first.
• Anyone can report a dua from its page. Whoever shared it never learns who reported it.
• When 3 different people report the same dua, it is hidden until a moderator looks — one person cannot silence another.
• Moderators can publish, hide or remove duas and block a device. Every decision is logged with who made it and why.
• The device that shared a dua can take it down at any time from the dua's page.
