Write like someone will read it.

The wall belongs to everyone who signs it. These rules keep it a place people want to visit. They apply to names, messages, cities, signatures and plaques alike.

How moderation works

Every mark is checked automatically before it goes up. Obvious problems are rejected with a short explanation so you can fix them. Marks that might contain private information are held for a human to review — your number is still reserved while that happens.

Anyone can report a mark from its page. When 3 different people report the same mark, it is hidden until a human looks at it. Moderators can approve, hide or remove marks. A removed mark keeps its number, so no one else is ever given it.

Your own mark

You can erase your mark at any time from its page, using the browser you left it from. If you've lost access to that browser, email hello@the-world-wall.com with the mark number.

See something that breaks these rules? Use Report on the mark's page, or write to hello@the-world-wall.com.
