Installing it
Tap “Download the APK”. Your browser may ask whether to keep the file — choose to download it anyway.
Open the downloaded file from your notifications or your Downloads folder.
If Android asks, allow installs from your browser. You can switch this off again afterwards.
Open Dua Lock and follow the short introduction — it asks for one accessibility permission, and explains why.
Installed Dua Lock before 20 October 2026? This version is a new app and installs beside the old one: open it, switch its accessibility service on, then uninstall the old Dua Lock. Your counts start again in the new one. After later updates, switch the accessibility service back on — Android turns it off each time.
What's in the app
- 269 duas from Hisn al-Muslim, each with its source
- Read the dua, or say it aloud
- A tasbih with a turning strand and a counter
- English, French and Arabic
To show a dua before an app opens, Dua Lock has to notice the moment that app comes to the front, and Android's accessibility service is the only way an ordinary app can. It reads which app is in front and the name of an icon you tap on your home screen — never what is on your screen.
Staying safe
- Only download Dua Lock from this page.
- Android warns about every app that doesn't come from a store; that warning is expected here.
- To be sure the file is ours, compare its SHA-256 with the one below.
